About Waylande Gregory:
Waylande Gregory (1905-1971) was a master in the world of ceramics during the 20th century. He is internationally known for his groundbreaking sculptural works and limited editions of fine decorative ceramics and has been recognized with a long and distinguished list of awards and prizes.
Bryan Downey, the brand’s current owner and Gregory’s great-grandnephew, relaunched his great-granduncle’s eponymous ceramic collection with his business partner at the NYC showroom of European fashion powerhouse AEFFE, fusing his background in fashion to the home design world. The company’s fine re-editions and modern interpretations soon found a cult following among the world’s best retailers, designers, and shelter publications, including Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman.
