Vanderbilt "Anchor Down" Hand Sign Sculpture in Brass

The Vanderbilt University Hand Sign is made by extending the thumb, index finger, and middle finger of the right hand with the other fingers curled and the palm facing out.  The index finger and middle finger form the "V' and the "U" is formed by the index finger and the thumb.

This hand sign is also often referred to as “Anchor Down”.  The Vanderbilt Anchor was adopted in 2004 as a symbol of unity and strength and it accompanies the team to all home and away games.

PRIZE Sculptures are created in brass using the ancient process of lost wax casting and are polished by hand to achieve a high gloss finish.  Due to the handmade nature of the item, some variations may occur.

Each Sculpture comes in an organic cotton drawstring bag and a polishing kit is included to polish the sculpture if desired.

The bottom of each Sculpture is felted to protect any surface.
